Youmeng

幽梦

A private journal for your dreams.

Most dreams are forgotten within ten minutes of waking. Youmeng exists for the ones you don't want to lose.

Coming to iOS · Summer 2026
The premise

Sleep researchers estimate that 95% of dreams are forgotten within ten minutes of waking. The remaining five percent — the ones you almost remember — fade by lunch.

— Youmeng is built for that fragile window.

How it works

Three ways to record. Whichever wakes least of you.

Mornings are not for friction. Tap symbols if you barely remember. Speak softly if you remember in fragments. Write it all down if the dream still has shape.

What did you see? 1 SELECTED · WATER KEEP
Symbols

Tap once for soft, again for strong.

36 universal symbols. The way to record when you barely remember anything but a feeling. Done in seconds.

Speak softly. 00:23
Voice

Whisper before it fades.

Hold to record. Youmeng transcribes when you're ready. The audio stays. The text becomes searchable.

MAR 14 · 6:42 AM A bridge over dark water. Two cats watching me cross. The bridge gets narrower with each step but I keep going. By the end I'm walking on a single rope. The cats don't move. KEEP
Text

For the dreams that still have shape.

Distraction-free editor. Serif typography. Auto-saves as you write. The kind of writing surface that makes you say more than you meant to.

AI interpretation

A reading. Not a verdict.

Youmeng's optional AI reading is grounded in the symbols you tapped and the words you chose. It's a mirror, not a map. Take it as an invitation to look once more, not an answer to keep.

A reading by Youmeng · Generated by AI
water bridge cat unease
The bridge that narrows under you rarely belongs to one decision; it tends to be a season — a stretch of weeks where the path you started on is no longer the path you're walking. The cats are the part of you that already knows. They are not anxious. They are watching to see if you noticed.
An interpretation, not a truth. Take it as a mirror, not a map.
Privacy

Your dreams stay yours.

A journal that earns this name has to be private by default. Youmeng is built that way — not as a feature, as a foundation.

  • 01 Your dreams stay on your device. iCloud sync is end-to-end encrypted. We can't read them. Apple can't read them. No one can.
  • 02 We do not train AI on your dreams. AI interpretations are generated on-demand and not retained for model training.
  • 03 We do not sell, share, or analyze your data for advertising. There are no ads in Youmeng. Ever.
  • 04 You can delete your account and all data at any time, from the app. No emails, no friction, no last attempts to keep you.
  • 05 Youmeng is independent. Your subscription is what funds us. That's the only relationship we want with you.
The long view

Pattern emerges over months, not days.

Most dream journals stop at "save". Youmeng exists for the long arc — the recurring symbols, the seasons of unease, the figure who keeps appearing. Once a year, export everything as a printable book.
